What I have learned from nannying is:
1) There are lots of "right" ways to parent; you have to do what works for the people involved (parents, kids and care providers), not what seems most "correct" in an abstract sense.
2) I have been a fly on the wall in a lot of marriages and I have learned that mutual respect and honest, clear communication are so important for building a family together.
