Thanks for the replies. I love the idea but creativity and art aren't my best attributes. Can you please share how you made a scrapbook? Was it handmade or a booklet like on shutterfly? Did you include just the baby or yourself with yor charge? Did you include written dates/events? Thanks

Yes, great idea. Our previous nanny did that when we parted under similar circumstances and we loved it. DC still likes to look at it 2 years later.

I've been happily employed with an amazing family for a year. Recently MB got offered a surgical position in Boston ( live in NY). It is ending on a great note and it would have lasted many years if it weren't due to this opportunity. I will miss my charge and would like to give a farewell present. They have already talked about keeping in touch via email and stuff. We have had an amazing relationship and I know it's tough departing. What would be an appropriate gift? I was considering making a scrapbook of her year with me. I have a gazillion photos/videos. Also- I might get my charge a small gift ( she is 13 months).
