I totally agree. Let it go, OP, and get a life. Ok?

Don't even bother telling us how often your nanny door swings. Lol.

This is beyond immature and rude. If my boss replied in this way you can bet I'd be giving notice by the end of the week.
OP, how old are your kids?

Well. Either you're annoyed or you're not. It seems like you are.

Or just looking for drama.

This was very funny

To the other pp: I'm not pure id. I think about things before blowing them off or flying off the handle. Thanks to the constructive pps.

I'd let it go. That's a short text, not a lengthy reply to an ongoing conversation and by my estimation takes 20 seconds to type. Not worth damaging your relationship with the nanny to make a fuss over it.

If this is one piece of a bigger problem then that's different, but just that one text would not bother me.

Only a sick control freak would concern herself with such a thing. Please find something useful to do with your free time. Or do your own babysitting.

I would let it go. A text here or there while the children are occupied seems pretty harmless. Excessive phone use is a problem. This seems petty.

Nanny accidentally texted me "I miss you baby" while she's on duty with my kids (not napping). We talked about phone use at first, and I told her short phone calls were fine and web surfing etc. when the kids are sleeping is no problem. What do you think?
