I would encourage all nannies to become CPR certified even if your employer won't pay for it/you are unemployed. I, along with several other families I know, will not even consider a nanny candidate who does not have their CPR certification. It is just a sign of a professional nanny. That said, we do pay to have DS' nannies certification renewed.

If you need to learn Infant & Child CPR check out www.frontlinescpr.com. Employers will usually pay for you to take this class! It's great!!
