Yes. OP! Do her a favor and fire her. Your next nanny will not only go above and beyond with your daughter and be generally wonderful but will also have the superhuman ability to never get sick.

Seriously, troll. Or did you really want your nanny coming into work with strep throat and giving it to your baby?

Also can't believe this is real, but no, OP. If she's been great then happening to get sick twice in 3 months should not be a deal breaker, esp if you know she got sick from your house. One thing I did not do early on but wish I had was find a home daycare or nanny service to use for back-up care so that I didn't need to take last minute days when the nanny called in sick. They still cost of course but sometimes swallowing the extra money is better than missing meetings.

Op here. Reliability is a top priority and our nanny hasn't been showing that. Why wouldn't I look at other options?

If you are MB, then why post this? It is obvious you should it fire her, you have no ground to do so. But I suspect it's the nanny that got fired that posted this to get feedback from other MBs, if that's the case and you were fired just for that them I am sorry, and you will find another family that will treat you right.
