I am a nanny and have my own daughter. I would like to do a share with another family (bring my daughter to work). They need me on Saturdays and Sundays 8am-noon and need me to drive (probably not a lot of driving but I will be using my own car). They will host us. Both kids are toddlers.
How much they should pay?
Thank you for any advise from nannies and families!

Also I feel that it build good will between us, and makes it more likely that she will stick with us for the long haul. Since it is a fairly low number of hours, I probably would pay $15. But if it was just my child alone I would pay around 17 or 18...
You are totally decent. Thank you. I had a similar set-up for two years. The mom loved having my child over. She was a pediatrition, btw, and was happy to pay my regular rates.
My children's nanny also occasionally brings her DC along as well if she needs to. I don't decrease her rate when she brings him either because, like PP said, it builds good will between us. My children like to play with her DC so it's fine and I'm not going to decrease her pay for the few times a month she brings him. She was with us for a long time before her child care situation changed and so, because she is a good nanny and we have built a relationship of give and take from both sides I am happy to help her out and let her bring him. BUT, I'm not going to pretend it's better for my children that way. And btw, I'm a pediatrician too.
