No... I am not affiliated with them in ANY way. It's for my personal website.

What's your website?

could an mb clarify what neglect means? As a nanny I sometimes let the children play on their own while I am getting stuff done. Sometimes in another room. Also I don't drop what ever I am doing to care to their needs asap. for example when the baby gate is closed and someone needs to get upstairs and I know its not an emergency, id let them wait it out til Im done the dishes or folding the laundry. I glance at Facebook or dcum when we are watching the same Sofia the first episode for the 19th time this month... Mbs do you see this as neglectful? Or do you mean like someone on there phone all day and not interacting at all with your children? Or not feeding them when they are hungry tyoe thing

Like the others have said, my main fear was that we would hire someone who looked great on paper and had all the right credentials, but might secretly mistreat or neglect my children.

2. Abusive/neglectful nanny. Even when you do a background check, reference check, etc., it is still hard to be 100% positive. Dh and I don't believe in hiding nanny cams and honestly if nanny knows where the nanny cams are, you'd think she'd be smart enough to do any bad activity away from the cameras

3. Just the delicate employer/employee relationship when someone works out of your house and care for your child.

Thankfully we were very lucky and have an amazing nanny who has been with us for the past 3 years

Thank you!

I am scared the nanny will fall down the stairs putting both babies in the stroller when she takes them outside.

I'm sure some have a fear that they will hire a mean or neglectful nanny.

That should say 'it doesn't matter how big or small'

Sorry about that!

I'm currently writing an article regarding the nanny/family relationship, focusing on the very beginning stages. My question for you:

What fears did you have when you decided to hire a nanny? It doesn't battery how big or small!

For example, my charges grandma was worried I would kidnap the girls.

Thanks in advance!
