I would be so damn mad too....It's unfair that you have to clean up after their extra company too!! WTF!! They are not your responsibility!!

Honestly, you are the Nanny. You are only responsible for cleaning up after the children. Any messes made during your stay ONLY.

Whatever messes the parents, grandparents and children made PRIOR to your arrival are the family's duty, not yours.

I would only clean up what I had to.

Oh grandparent visits can be the worst... Just do what you usually do with the kids, pick up the kids' toys and laundry (of that's part of your job) and hope the week goes quickly! Extra wine for you!

Oh, I'm sorry, OP, I understand. My MB/DB have a mother/MIL who seems to feel that I am her personal maid when she visits. She tells me to get her coffee, make her bed, keep the kids quiet while she naps and MB/DB say nothing (although I am contracted to only do child related chores). I do it all just to keep the peace as the grandmother is home with me and the kids all day. I dread her visits.
