1. I waited for until my year anniversary - the baby was then 15 months old (3 months when I started)
2. I was given an 11% raise - $2.00 more an hour for the same single child.
I only work 34 to 36 hours a week, no guaranteed hours, vacation or sick time. If they make a doctors appointment for the baby and don't need me to go with them, I'm not paid. I am only paid for the exact hours that I work so maybe that is why I received the 11% raise. Plus I'm a really good nanny...

2. What you feel is appropriate. Consider a 3% raise if she has earned it. No raise if she hasn't earned it, though.

1) Is it normal for nannies to request a raise when the baby turns a year (as opposed to when she's been working for you for a year)?
2) What's the going rate for an "annual" nanny raise around here (NW DC)? She watches two 11 month olds (neighbors) in a nanny share.
