hopefully the trolls will stay here and not migrate over to the other sites, though i think they'll be kicked off if they do.

PP I am not the OP but I am a nanny and would love to see other nanny links; would you mind posting them?

I too have posted a legitimate question and been called a troll, but only after several smarter people legitimately answered the question, so clearly it didn't scream troll. As far as I'm concerned the only trolls are the ones calling every.single.post a troll. They do it because they're simply not smart enough to come up with an intelligent answer. People who are smart and actually have life experience realize that just because a problem seems unusual and they haven't experienced that problem themselves, doesn't automatically make it fake. I've only seen a small handful of questions that seem fake, however I've seen countless trolls calling people trolls simplybecause they're too stupid to say anything remotely intelligent.

To answer your question op, when you weed out the idiots calling ttroll on every single post, you actually can get decent advice here. Are you a nanny or employer? I know of some nanny sites but they don't get as much traffic, however the troll calling nonsense won't be tolerated so the advice you get will be better.

Op the questions you asked must have screamed fake or trouble starting. If not link them here and you can get advice. Lots of people get help all the time on here but nobody likes to feed the trolls because like a stray animal they keep coming bacl

Make no mistake, OP, I gave you help. I told you what a troll is and why nobody puts up with them here.

That's help. If you don't like it, put your google skills to work and find another place to start trouble.

Oh I absolutely started this thread for a purpose. Can't get anything past you. It was to see if anyone knew of a forum where nanny's and mothers can go to actually get advice instead of being called a troll. But thanks for being consistent..instead of giving any actual help, you (surprise!) called me a troll...

Trolls are irritating because they don't post real issues or questions that need answers. They post ridiculous and obvious complaints for the purpose of generating trouble. No one who cares about this forum wants to spend time investing in a fake problem someone posted because they think it's fun to bash nannies or MBs.

The only way to shut them down is to call them out. Frankly, I'm happy that there are enough nannies and MBs to call them out and self police this place for those of us who have legitimate questions.

Hopefully, this thread will die with this post, OP, because clearly you started this for exactly the purpose of causing trouble. How do I know? Because you could have easily googled troll if you were really so curious about what it means.

Have a great day.

Is there anyone out there to actually give advice based on being a mother or a child care provider? Every time I post a genuine question asking for advice or opinion, I am called a troll. If I read someone elses question, all the responses are troll? What does that even mean? And does anyone know of a website that actually does offer helpful advice?
