It's two kids, light housekeeping, and part time hours. $20 is fair.

if anything, having you home 2/3 days might disrupt the schedule more than help it.

I should clarify that it would be $20/hr before taxes. I'm wondering if that's a bit high given that she only has a few years of experience. Thanks.

$18-$20/hr would be great. I think if you have a candidate you really like, pay her the $20/hr.

I'd appreciate some feedback on what I should expect to pay a nanny/mother's helper to watch my two young kids (almost 2 years old and 3 months old) and do light housekeeping tasks (e.g., kids' laundry, dishes, keeping play area tidy). I am hiring for three days/wk (30 hrs total). I will be home on 2 out of the 3 days that she will be working for us, so on those days I would share childcare duties with her. On the third day I would be working all day and she'd be in charge of both kids all day. I have a great candidate in mind who has a few years of experience and she is asking for $20/hr.

Thank you!
