Oh yes I would be so irritated! My family has a housekeeper who has a KEY and comes around the same time every week. We leave the second she arrives until she is gone Bc I always feel we are in the way. I have worked for families in the past where I loved the house keeper and some that just seemed unfriendly. I live in TX so most speak very little English.

Does the housekeeper not have a key? This seems crazy to me. Why is your day linked to when the housekeeper arrives?

I really dislike housekeepers. I had one who would twist words that I said to her and would tell the MB I said something that wasn't meant the way I said it at all. I think many of them resent that they are cleaning the house.

My NF housekeeper is the same way. She wanted the job for her daughter and is very mad I was hired instead. She has gone so far as to go into the baby's room while he is finishing his nap to "say hi".

Calling MB to state I'm not home, even though I know I should be since I need to anticipate her arrival, makes me look unprofessional/inconsiderate. But thing is I arrive at the exact time she said she will arrive -and not a minute earlier most of the times. Sometimes I will arrive 3 minutes but she makes it out to be like I'm being inconsiderate so then mB will ask when I arrived and explained that HK was worried I wouldn't be there.

Why are you cutting it so close? What's the problem with just getting there earlier?

If I was your mb I would be really annoyed with the housekeeper. Calling all the time is ridiculous.

I don't understand. What exactly is the problem here?
Why does it matter is you are home or not when she arrives?
And why does it matter if she calls your MB and tells her you're not home?

So I don't know why but I feel like the housekeeper does not like me. She has been working here for 4 months and I always feel like she is judging the way I do things. They had a previous lady come but she had to move out of state. We got along, weren't BFF or anything but I didn't feel like she's sneaky. This one, I feel will do things to make me look bad. For example. She said she's coming at X time and then if my charge and I are not home 15 minutes anticipating time, she won't waste time calling MB. Even though we arrive 3 minutes before X time that she said she would be arriving. Also, what she thought was bribery to get my charge to finish a task. She mentioned something to MB and MB mentioned it to me. I want bribing at all though, she just twisted what she saw. How to handle this situation? It's just irritating. I shouldn't have to walk on egg shells because she likes to fib. Anyone ever deal with some bring similar?
