One of my charges is moving away this summer. I'm trying to savor these last few months, but I'm mostly dreading it. Its hard to move on when you don't even have the prospect of occasional visits or babysitting. At least you have that, OP!

*hugs* as you aptly said time marches on. It's crazy how fast kids grow and move onto the next stage of their life at which point we as nannies move onto our next family. I hope you guys have a wonderful spring and summer together and make some more great memories!

Aww, you sound like a wonderful nanny. I remember my last couple weeks taking care of the little boy I watched from birth to almost 2 years old. I was boxing up his outgrown clothes and when I got to his newborn outfits I started crying thinking about how tiny he was and all the things we did together. It's very bittersweet but you do move on. Good luck!!

It's really happening. Right this minute my charge is at his entrance interview for all day school. I've always known this day was coming but now the reality that this is our last summer together has hit me hard. I am going to miss his little face so much. I've been a nanny long enough to know that he and I will both transition on, and we will both have wonderful new adventures in this new season of life, but that's small comfort today. I love mb's kid like crazy. I'm gonna miss him like crazy, too.
