Agree. Don't assume, clarify. You might think you're agreeing to one thing, but they actually mean something else. Even if you're okay with the cooking and laundry for the whole family, it should factored into the rate, as those are non standard duties.

Wouldn't respond to it without those details addressed at least partially.

I wouldn't describe those tasks as "light" housekeeping. Its a housekeeper/taxi job for kids who should be old enough to do most of these things themselves, minus driving to activities. I'd want "keeping the kitchen clean" clarified. Does that mean tidying counters and dishes, or does that mean emptying out the fridge and scrubbing the shelves, mopping the floors, and scrubbing the stove/oven? I'd also want it clarified if the laundry and cooking are for the entire family, and if so, I'd expect the top end of the salary range.

Just define the range for flex time. I'm fine with this as long as the extra time falls within a range and the extra hours are paid. Some nannies book other activities right after work and this wouldn't work for them. Its a good sign that the family is being upfront and not just assuming that all nannies want extra hours.

I suppose other than "flex ending time" I don't see any red flags. And I'd just want to know if flex meant 20-30 min or 45min - an hour plus.

It's less a nanny job and more of a monitoring/house manager type of position. But the pay is decent and I don't see any huge red flags.

Warm, responsible, and experienced individual needed to help family with 12 and 14-year-old (pick up from bus, drive to local activities, oversee homework), plus light housekeeping like load/unload dishwasher, keep kitchen clean, laundry, and cooking. Monday-Thursday 2:45 - 7:30 p.m. (some flex in ending time if needed). Non-smokers only. Must have own transportation, good driving record. Pay rate = $15-20/hr.
