So I need some help on how to figure out what to do about taxes. I started working for a family, but it was suppose to only be for 6 weeks, turned into a full time position after the 6 weeks. We discussed that they would have to cover my taxes as well if they wanted me to stay, after discussing and them saying they could only afford so much we sat down worked things out, but then nothing came about. They did not make any taxes payments on their behalf or mine. Now I was told that I would have to cover my portion of the taxes (a little irritated with this, but oh well).

I have no clue what to do! What am I responsible for? How to I find out how much I owe on taxes? I read that since they didn't pay ANYTHING that they are now responsible for my FICA and theirs, is this true? So then do I only pay federal and state taxes?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!
