24hr hour nannies charge $300-500 per day (24 hours full coverage).

Forgot to ask, should I expect to pay more/less for all day care - say 9 to 5?

Not sure what the ad said exactly but she may not be looking to work a whole weekend.
She may be looking for a few hours on a Sat or Sun, not the entire weekend.

You have to ask for her rates.

Thanks. I should have added that I'm in Silver Spring.

Every nanny who posts on here will give you a different answer, so off the bat, good luck figuring it out.
Rates will vary by location, duties, number of kids etc. So that's hard to answer. I'd say the bare minimum for most areas would be $13 but if you're in a major metro area then more.
For overnights, some nannies charge the full rate for every hour they're at your house. Some charge for every hour the kids are awake and then a flat rate of $50-100 for the overnight portion. Some charge half rate after the kids go to be, so it's really far and wide. Personally, I would probably charge you a mutually agreeable flat rate for a Fri-Sun...something like $400-500 and I would expect time off at some point unless you're on vacation. I would not be willing to do this every weekend unless it was my only job or I worked very few hrs the rest of the week. Also, I would not expect to do a ton of housekeeping during this time either.
Hope that gives you a starting point.

Someone in my neighborhood posted on our listserv that her nanny is interested in weekend work. What can I expect to pay and what are typical hours for a nanny? Also, what is the going rate for a 24 hour nanny - if I wanted her to stay Friday night to Sunday night?
