For 40 hours a week (i.e. no overtime) I'd say a combined rate of $20/hr is likely to get you very strong candidates. I would certainly not go below $18 or above $22 (assuming the job is fairly standard).

We did an average of $19 per hour (which included a health care stipend) for 47 hrs/week. We're in Adams Morgan. Shares can be a pain in the butt for nannies so most like to make around 20 an hour from what I've heard taking to my nanny and her friends...

Op here: part time would be 20-25 hours per week, FT would be guaranteed 40.

The rate will vary depending on how part time and how full time.
Ex: is part time 10 hours per week or 30?
Is full time 40 hours per week (no overtime) or 50 hours per week (which would mean 10 hours of overtime)?

16-25,30 per hour. Depends who you want.

We are looking at doing a nanny share for two infants (both about 3 months) and were wondering what to expect for an hourly rate. We live in Petworth and the position would likely be part time for a few months and most likely shifting to full time this summer. Both of us are FTMs so just looking for a ballpark. Thanks.
