I like to hide these books, if I find them in the "Parenting" section of a bookstore. Usually I hide them in the "sex" section. I figure anyone looking for the Pearl's books won't go near anything to do with sex.

While I understand why you do this, I think it's really rude to the workers at the bookstore. Makes things difficult for them.

Great idea. I'm going to do this, too.

does anyone here use this method? while I think some of the training can be useful and want to see others opinions.

I think the bolded part is the problem with your post. There was not one single thing that I could see that would be "useful" from that article or their method.

OP- Well I think it is disgusting that you are not grown up to skip a thread if you don't like it. I was asking a simple question.

You were asking, presumably as a child are provider, if there was any validity to a disciplinary form that is mainly based on physical and emotional abuse and fear. That is disgusting. And people like you who are brining attention to this book in a way that could be construed as at all positive should be called out, not ignored.

OP- I obviously do not mean the hitting of infants or the starvation but some of the non violent training types are.

Example? Everything I saw was violent.

Thanks for that link. There's a change.org petition to ban these books from Amazon. I wish they could do more than that, though...

What does it involve? If children are actually dying I can't imagine any part of it would be good or useful.
