I know reading comprehension is difficult for many commenters on DCUM so let me help you, most of the posters on this thread are nannies. We don't hire the cleaning ladies and most of us would rather not have them at all. We have no say in the matter. Nice try being a bully though.

Wow, I just have to say these maids sound awful. I have only ever had 2 maids but both were really considerate of nap times. They would always ask me where to start to work around nap time and if occasionally they were there when someone was sleeping they always asked if it was ok if they vacuumed before they did it.

I hate when the maid comes... She is very nice but comes right when I put the baby down....the door slams, the dog barks...I feel bad asking the parents to switch her cleaning time. Plus it's awkward Bc she is very much to herself so we are in complete silence and just avoid going into each others area.

Aren't you sweet. 1. She has keys. 2. I'm not leaving a sleeping baby alone in the house to find parking in the street.

Yeah I'm sure MB would be cool with that

I think most MBs would be annoyed by this as well, and their children come first, ie. naps. I have never sent a maid home, but I have instructed her not to freaking vacuum while the baby was sleeping. She's there for 3 hours and its like she waits until I get him to bed to vacuum every damn time. She got huffy, and expected my MB to take her side. She was easily replaced.

OP again, I I felt with a cleaning lady exactly like this too. And she would conveniently not know English when I was asking her to shut off the vacuum, she was fine talking to MB though...I always found it interesting.

Sure not every family would but mine know up front how I do things. If they don't like it, I can move on. Besides most parents are afraid of losing a nanny rather changing a cleaning service. I also recommend my cleaning service to families who don't have one.

Yes! Usually when I have deeper issues with somebody, or am not satisfied with their overall performance, that everything they do starts to become annoying. Totally normal, OP!

I am well aware of the fact that everything I am about to write is extremely petty, but I am annoyed, so here goes.
-The cleaning lady is routinely 20 minutes late, no biggie but I notice it, and today was no exception.
-She parked behind me, again, so that I will have to ask her to move so that I can pick up dc 2 from school as I do every time she is here.
-She clunked in the back door with all of her equipment, waking dc 1 whose bedroom is right up the stairs (again, he is ALWAYS napping when she comes) even though her car is closer to the front door.
-And to top it all off, she just insulted the coffee that I offered to her (yes it is some apple pie flavored by.s. But it was a gift and I am going to drink it).
I know none of this is a huge deal, and maybe I am just extra PMSy today, but man, she is really grating on my nerves. Anyone else having one of those days?
