Wow that's all it takes. I drunk dialed an interviewee about a start date at almost midnight. The traffic isn't as good on Sittercity. Different email is probably all it takes. But they sent an email to all the contacts I had and said I got the boot, so they may report me if they see me. So I thought I would block them real fast. Stealth mode.

It's pretty clear things didn't happen as you say, Op. you must have been very rude and/or harassed the person for them to report you and for care to kick you off. Don't play the victim.

Online moms groups and craigslist. I've never accepted a full time position off care, I find better positions on my own.

They will kick you off if someone complains. When it happened to me, I called the customer service number and acted as though I couldn't fathom why I was kicked off. The message in question was actually very polite, and simply pointed out the fact that the job was illegal. I stated nothing but fact; nannies are non exempt FLSA employees, entitled to minimum wage and OT. $150/week for 50 is illegal. The woman then flipped out and claimed to be looking for a daycare (except her ad specifically asked for a nanny to come to her house). I told care.com that they should do a better job serving the interests of their "product", and that I've seen the caliber of caregivers on their site and that they don't want to lose me. My account was reactivated and I was advised that as long as I made a genuine application to the job, I could then explain the legalities of payment when they try to interview me.

Then report them to the proper authorities. If what you are saying is correct, they will be shut down.

You don't have to apply for jobs you aren't interested in. You were probably rude and out of line

Thanks, you really cleared that up.

We do not have any agencies in the area. I have previously tried sittercity and another website, but the traffic flow is near zero. What the hell do I do now? I have a position that will continue for a couple years if I want it to, but I am not overly thrilled here.... UGH!
