Email them.

I think they are moving to more of an online presence due to the needs of the people they serve.

You can also look into the international maternity institute.

Accerdited by who?

Ohio state board of colleges / technical schools.

If you have questions- call them. They're very friendly and can give you more info then I could.

Taking a class is one of multiple steps to being a **certified** NCS. You also have to log 2000 hours of verified care for newborns, and you can only do 8 hours a day that count toward that 2000. That's a minimum of 250 days of care to get certified.

The NCSA has not gone through any formal process to make their certification "formal", as far as I know.

I would check out the Alexandria School - they are planning to offer on-line classes soon:

I am wondering if anyone has gotten certified as A NCS?

I found a few places that have online classes

One is ICT Academy - they offer Newborn Infant Care Specialist Certificate (I & II)

The other is the NCSA website that takes you to their approved training progams (thru other agencies). The one program closest to me doesn't have a training class in a while but they do have interactive courses (online and live chats with teachers).

Both are around the same cost

What have others done??
Thanks
