I'm in the Raleigh area and myself as well as all my nanny friends found our families via care. I don't think there are agencies with as much visibility here as say in NoVa or DC

See if you can get people who live there to check their neighborhood listservs. Real estate agents, in particular, can be great about helping with this. Also, new/soon to be co-workers, religious institution you might attend, local parenting groups, and especially - if you can find a way to meet them - your new neighbors.
