My babysitter is a 45 year old woman in the neighborhood who is CPR certified, drives and babysits for extra cash. My coworkers (two of them in MD) pay the same, which is how I proposed the rate. My babysitter said this was in line with her other overnight jobs.
For regular babysitting with her (not over night) we pay $15/hr, so this is pretty close to regular rates and she really had to have the kids is a couple if hours. But, you never know with kids this young.
You pay $150 for 7-7 or for the entire 24 hour period?
Sorry, I meant 7 am to 7 pm. I have an Au pair, so I don't have to get home by 7 am. If it is a work trip, then the AP just works her normal hours. I pay the going rate of $15/hr if my AP can't start at 7 am or if my babysitter starts early.
