The reason to ask her if she prefers daily vs. weekly is that sometimes short-term positions like this end before they're scheduled to and sometimes it can be a hassle to get the parents to pay you for hours worked if they haven't been compensating you daily.

Of course, OP YOU know that you wouldn't do that to her, but she may not, so just talk to her about what she prefers.

Each Friday makes the most sense. That way, if she works more/less hours that week, you can pay her accordingly.

I usually just do weekly.

I would ask her OP, but the general rule since she is working for you on a daily basis for a few weeks would be every Friday for the next three weeks.

Every day would be just too much trouble and waiting until the three weeks is over is much too long.

But you do need to speak to her.

Offer daily, but she may prefer weekly.

I did almost the exact same set up during a month between when my summer job ended and my new job began. They paid me weekly. It was just fine for me.

I was going to suggest weekly as well, but you can certainly give her the choice....say "I was thinking we could pay you weekly if that's ok, but we could pay you at the end of each day if you prefer."

I'd ask her! She may feel like she should be paid every day, since this is such a short-term position, or she may be happy to be paid at the end of each week. I wouldn't stretch it to two or three weeks, though.

I've hired a temporary nanny for 2-3 weeks while we wait for an Au Pair. The nanny is working for us for 4 hours per day M-F and she has a full time job lined up for November 1.
