You can also do a live-in (not an AP) who would be more willing to do a split day since they would have no commute. You wouldn't have to deal with agencies for an AP, the limit on hours, the small stipend they get (and everything else they technically get from you) while the agency gets like $8000. You can even find someone that might be willing to do a straight exchange of work for room and board, or plus stipend depending on the total number of hours and if you have a house set up to have someone live in.

Perhaps a stay-at-home mother. Or a mother who has a child in school. Or a retired woman.

Any way to extend the morning hours (laundry, groceries, cooking) would also help - I don't mind split shifts but I hate getting up and to work for only an hour or two of pay.

-How many kids
-location
-how many hours in the morning
-how many hours in the afternoon/evening
-how many days per week

If you aren't paying for the in between hours, don't get upset if she isn't available during that time (if your kids are home sick, school holidays, etc)

You really have to find the kind of person you want and ask her.

Search the forum. There are plenty of discussions that will help you. Your question is incredibly vague, so try to work out a plan and then come back when you have actual logistics you need help with, you will find that much more beneficial.
