15:47 is exactly right. Bet you anything, that gem of a woman pays whopping 15-18 for her "demanding" job, although watch her come back here and tell us how much she "really" pays. Not to mention, she's had the same amazing nanny for three years. Right.

OP here. I asked the mom to clarify. I had detailed all of my work back to 2006, included my education, child-care related classes and certification. I had no job gaps and did include my non-nanny work. The Mother said that was fine and asked that I just send her my work history prior to 2006 (basically work before I turned 18). Interview went well and I am trialing with them next week.

I agree with last comment. She may just send a full, detailed resume. Did you list aged of kids, and tasks associated with each job? Sometimes, when first talking with families, I'll give them a very basics resume, more like just a list of past jobs. Then I'll send a second one more detailed.
You can always just ask the mom too. A good way to indicate if she's as out there as people think by how she responds to it.

OP, my guess is that your nanny resume is either not comprehensive or not as professionally organized as you think.
Most nannies that I've interviewed over the years just don't present themselves well on paper. As an MB, I want to see a complete work history in chronological order. This enables me to look for a pattern of job jumping as well as gaps in employment that you can't explain in a way that I'm comfortable with. Gaps and job jumping sometimes--not always but sometimes--indicate jobs that ended badly, an unstable personal life, or a chronic physical or mental health problem that interferes with your ability to hold a demanding job. Also, especially if you are relatively new to fully time nanny work, seeing your non-nanny work history, educational background, collegiate activities, etc. helps me understand who you are, where you come from, and what special aptitudes you might have. All that helps me understand you as a person, which helps me quickly assess whether you will be a good fit for my family.
Don't be too quick to write this prospective employer off as a difficult person. She obviously has high standards and intends to screen candidates thoroughly, but most parents who pay on the higher end and expect to retain a nanny for the long haul are similarly picky. Seriously, would you leave their kids in the care of someone who is only willing to disclose a couple of references as opposed to her entire work history? Even the most inept and unstable caregiver can come up with one or two friends to vouch for her.

The woman is bad news, OP.

Well, well...well! As if!
If what you gave her isn't enough to satisfy her, then tough cookies for her.
Move on.
You don't need to create an add'l resume just to appease her.
This is for a nanny job, not CEO or a Fortune 500 company.

My nanny resume is professional looking. Thanks for all the replies.

Is your nanny resume professional looking or is it just a list of previous jobs? If it's not a professional looking resume than I kind of understand but if it is than I would tell her that being a nanny is your career (if true) and that is the only resume you have that is relevant.

Give me a friggin' break. Listen to what the PPs are saying. She's going to be difficult to work for.

Never heard of that kind of odd behavior for a MB, so watch deligently for additional red flags.

The resume you would use to apply for a job that wasn't nannying...other positions, relevant skills, education, career objectives, etc.

I am interviewing for a new nanny position. The mother has asked me for a professional resume in addition to the nanny resume I have already given her. What is the difference between the two?
