It depends on the people involved: the kids, parents, and nanny.

TBH, I hate doing outings with my PT kids. We don't have the same daily structure and routine, I only see them once a week so they don't listen quite as well as my FT charges do, I don't keep their car seats in my car, etc. so it's just kind of a hassle and I'm much happier staying home and playing in the yard. When their mom asks me to take them somewhere of course I do it happily, but it isn't something I'm personally dying to do.

Your kids, of course, will be fine two days a week not going anywhere. (Do they have friends in the neighborhood who might come over and play with them in the yard? Or whose house the nanny might walk them to? Those are the kinds of activities I prefer for PT gigs.) If you don't want the nanny to drive them (totally fair for a PT employee), that's that. If she's really dying to go somewhere with them, it's worth a conversation because you don't want her (or the kids) to get stir crazy, but it sounds like everything is running smoothly now - no need to change it up, OP.

My part time sitter takes my child out.

First of all, I know a nanny near us who is full-time and has to stay inside with the child all day! I feel really bad for the nanny and the child. But, nanny is getting paid well, treated well (otherwise), likes the child and has job security. She isn't looking for another job.

However- to your post, I really don't think it's a big deal for kids not to go on a major outing for 2 days/week as long as they are still getting outside and being active/doing fun projects etc.

Not forced to do anything.We never really talked about outings before she started and hasn't really mentioned it and doesn't seem eager but didn't know if I should bring it up. There have been outings with older school aged child, but because the kid was desperate to get out of the house.

I mean like library,museums,park,whatever.There is a HUGE backyard...Swingset,tons of toys,pool(it's warm until late in the year here).I was wondering if with all of that outings are that big of a deal. The closest outing for her would be a 10 mile drive and we don't live within walking distance to anywhere.

Your children need to get out of the house at least once a day.

A nanny that is part time-2 days from 7:30-4 with two kids,an infant and toddler.Should she be doing outings often or is it okay to stay home? I know full time nanny would go crazy not being out but part time I'm not sure.
