there is a website that offers trials with carriers, I believe it is 10 and you keep the carrier for 14 days, then send it back. You can purchase that carrier and your 10$ goes toward it. It is called Heavenly Hold.

I have one, and while I can't meet up, I am short (4'11"). I've used it for three kids, and lengthwise it's great. The only thing that I think is still too big is the width between the shoulder straps even when adjusted as small as possible. It does fit better in the winter when I have on bulkier tops.

Mine has the newer buckles, bite thanks for the tip. It didn't come with instructions so I went to the website and learned that. I seldom use it anyway.

the beco butterfly was recalled so be careful. That's why they changed the buckles on the beco butterfly 2. (I know you said it's never been used, but just in case)

Thank you PP! I did a google search and found a blog about the group. Will look into it to see if I can try on a carrier.

In the DC area you can go to a monthly "babywearing" meeting. You can try on (with child) any kind of carrier. Anyone know where?

Hopefully in the DC/VA/MD area?
I'm thinking about getting one for my own use because I've heard they're good for shorter people, and that's me! but I'd really like to try one on before I pay so much for one.

I've tried the ergo and I'm not really a fan. :-/

Anyone have a beco butterfly? Would you be willing to meet up somewhere public so that I could try it on?
