They were not hanging around the gas station. She stopped to get gas that she paid for in her car to drive your kids around. That is being really silly.

Yes, because 3 year olds are always very reliable when it comes to asking them what they did and how long they spent doing it. It probably stuck out to him because he's never been to a gas station before due to your insane paranoia

OP here. It wasn't just the three year old but the 7 month old as well. If she only had an infant, she would probably be getting away with this stuff.

And some of you wonder why dedicated nannies get a bit jaded when it comes to dealing with certain "not so healthy in the head" parents. The children are *always* the easy part of my work.

Really? She uses her own vehicle to transport your children and you're upset because she had to get gas? I can guarantee she is looking for another job.

Unless they hung out there for two hours while she flirted with the guy who works there, it's no big deal if she pulled in to put in a tank of gas in between running around with your kids.

Unless she was turning tricks at the gas station with your children, chill.

Today I asked my 3 year old what he did today. He said "nanny took us to gas station". I was kind of shocked. I don't want my kids breathing in gas station toxic fumes. Is this irrational? I just called the nanny to ask if this is true and why she left this out of the Review of the day. I told her that I expect her to get gas before work hours and not have my kids hanging out at a gas station.

I told dh and he said I was overreacting. Who is right? Me or dh/nanny?
