Sounds like a fun night mom. I will do something like this with my kids when they're old enough.

I bet you'll never accidentally stumble in the lions den of the nanny forum again!

How is it "unprofessional"? Her profession is not called into question here. It is unhealthy if they have that every single night, but one night won't hurt them. Maybe they will wake up a little hungry, but they'll survive.

Her profession is THEIR MOTHER so who cares!

I think it could be a great way to help kids learn healthy eating habits. I might suggest that they choose a protein, a veggie, a fruit, and something fun, but really what so had about the occasional blueberry and popcorn dinner??

from a nanny who can't even spell nanny?

Obvious typo...nice try though bitch (I spelled that right, yeah?). It is super unhealthy, I don't think that can be debated.

You sound like one of the bad, lazy, judgemental type of "babysitters". I wouldn't pay you a buck to watch my fish, never mind my children.

I've done this as a nanny too!
Kids loved it.
We also have done breakfast for dinner, all chocolate dinner (this was a MB idea - she had a bad day and the kids and I made chocolate pancakes with nutella syrup.) Movie dinners (kids always picked tomato soup with grilled cheese and we'd have a picnic in the living room and watch movies.

Why not have fun or have an easy meal?! Why stress

1. This was posted by a mother, not a nanny. She said she posted it in the wrong forum
2. I'm a nanny, I have done this, and MB and DB thought it was great to give their daughter the opportunity to plan her own meal. Even thought it was grapes and white bread...
3. You are no fun
4.

PS. It is very counterproductive and unprofessional to be a nanny who can't even spell "nanny"

My mom use to do this thing where on Wednesdays we picked what we wanted for dinner (something from home, we didnt ever go out) so I started it today with my kids.

DC 1: picked blueberries and popcorn
DC 2: picked pop tart and cucumbers
DC 3: picked toast with Nutella and raisins with a side of goldfish

Took 4 min to make dinner and everyone thought it was super fun. Thanks mom
