We use local college students. $20/hr for 3 kids and yes we pay taxes (our jobs require it). It's worked great for us. We are starting our 4th year, and on our 2nd nanny (1st one graduated). We canvassed all the camp counselors we liked the summer before we needed a nanny. The second nanny is a good friend of the 1st.

+1. Curious to know what you are offering and what your expectations are. It could be the reason why you aren't finding an English speaking nanny.

I really need a educated English speaking nanny to help my school aged children with homework and other customary babysitting duties. Why is this so hard?
