I have a nanny who is amazingly patient, loves and cares for my children as if they were her own, is completely trustworthy and reliable, makes my life easier every day, and improves the quality of life for our whole family.
She has come to our aid when we're sick, made us special dinners on b'days when we can't get away, worked overtime when I needed to care for an ailing parent, made market runs when we're in need but pressed for time, etc... Plus, she's teaching my kids Spanish!
She is a gem. We are beyond lucky to have found her.

Take the rudeness somewhere else.
+1
One or two people here just want to be hateful, no matter what. So sad.

I'm leaving my position of four years next month. I'm heartbroken.
DC is like my own child.
MB works from home and is fantastic. Both as a mother and how she treats me.
They pay me the top of what they can afford (they're not wealthy by any means) and it's always on time.
There is so much give and take from both sides of our working relationship. If I need to come in 20 min late its no problem and if they need me to stay late one day I do gladly.
They trust me completely.
They actually talk to me about my life and genuinely care about my well-being and have proven this from various actions.
I do not work for doctors, lawyers, or movie stars. I work for a hardworking amazing family who has values and morals for their children and treat me with more respect than my own family.
Leaving this family is literally the hardest thing I've ever had to do.

I feel like this forum needs some positivity so I want to share a few reasons why I love my job and then I'm hoping some of you will share what you love about yours.
- My bosses always come home early or on time every day and value that fact that I have a life outside of working for them.
- The children are well mannered and behaved, despite the fact that they are very comfortable financially.
- DB works from home some days and stays out of my way the entire time and doesn't micromanage me.
- They thank me every single day on my way out the door.
- DB has told me that they have noticed a huge difference in the youngest since I have started with them. They acknowledge that my hard work and dedication is why DC2 is now walking, talking, and meeting milestones.
- They pay me a decent salary that includes guaranteed hours, 2 weeks paid vacation of my choice, 5 sick days and all holidays are paid, including the holidays that I celebrate and they don't.
Nannies, can you please share some positives about your current job? And MB's, can you share some things that you love about your nanny?
