Try $20/hr. If you were going to be doing it for some long period of time perhaps you'd negotiate a slightly lower rate (kind of the thing that nannies do when considering a 35 hr/wk job and a higher rate vs. a 50 hr/wk job at a slightly lower hourly rate.)

Good luck! By the way, if the new mom is amenable, I would HIGHLY recommend keeping both babies on the same schedule. We always fed at the same time - and would wake a baby for a feeding if need be. Otherwise you end up doing round the clock feedings with no break - which is a killer, and not necessary unless there is a medical reason. Just an unsolicited veteran tip.

Agree with this. I would ask for $20 an hour. Night nannies make more money than daytime and you will have twins, double the work. Don't sell yourself short just because you're in Georgia and don't have a ton of experience.

I think night nannies should get paid less than day nannies. Considering you aren't very experienced and in Georgia, I think $12-$15 an hour like you think is fine.

Given you're not very experienced and doing this as a night nanny vs a more experienced/educated NCS and your location I'd charge $17-20

Depends if you are having a nanny stay up while babies sleep over night hours and do other tasks (clean bottles, baby laundry, etc) during the night or nanny will have a place to sleep in the off hours while babies are sleeping. I have don't both (I am a newborn care specialist) When the night position is my full time position and therefore am awake the whole time and doing other tasks and planning for parents, I charge $28 an hour. When filling in as a night nanny just for feedings and able to sleep while babies sleep, I charge $18 an hour.

$15 is not high enough for a night nanny. Night nannies earn more than day time nannies.

I'm actually the nanny. I told the potential MB that I needed to do some research to see what was an acceptable pay. I was thinking between 12-15/hr. All these are much higher than what I was thinking. I'm experienced but not necessarily a professional nanny. I'm doing it through college and have been since high school.

I'm in Southeast Georgia BTW.

I also think $20-$30/hr is your likely range.

Depending on their experience, you are probably looking at $20-30 an hour. You could probably find someone qualified for $25 or under. Congrats on the twins.
