This would be a sick idea.

If you would put all this energy into planning on having someone check up on your nanny, then why not take a pay cut and stay home and care for your child yourself?

Why would you hire a private detective? Just have a friend whom the nanny doesn't no come to the home and see if she invites her in. This is a judgement issue to see if nanny has bad judgement.

As for following nanny to park.. No.. Anyone who does has paranoid issues and shouldn't be employing a nanny to begin with.

Don't you need some kind of training to be a private eye, OP? Do you have any? Or you're a wanna be?

No.

OP, there is no market for this kind of work. Figure out some other way to earn money.

You must be really paranoid OP. I feel bad for your nanny if you don't trust her with your children and you feel the need to "check up" on her.

Dear god - no. I hired a person I trust. I continue to trust her. I'm not paying anyone else to double check, I feel confident in our decision and she reinforces our faith in her daily. We have plenty of family and friends in for visits who regularly echo our feelings about how great our nanny is if I need any further confirmation.

I don't feel the need to hire a private detective.
