Just be yourself. But know that you are going to be in a demanding job. I worked for a high profile family, and while the parents treated me with respect, it still was a demanding job and one I ultimately ended up being miserable with.

If you are offered the position, think about why you want the job. If it is for the celebrity of it, don't do it. But if you and the family are a really good match, go for it.

This is not always true. I was treated very well when I worked for a high profile family, and their kids were very nice. Yes, they were used to having live-in help and having people do stuff for them, but I have definitely worked with other kids that were more "bratty" than they were.

I currently work for a high profile family, and what the previous poster said about them treating you horribly is absolutely CORRECT!! They have no respect for their nannies, and yes, their children are BRATS!

I wish you the best of luck and I am sure you will do fine! I would encourage you to not get blinded by the excellent pay (if this applies) or overall hype, but to be honest with yourself if it isn't a good fit. Nothing would be worse than to compromising yourself for a terrible fit/position.

Just treat like any other nanny job you would interview for. OP, are you a DC area nanny or are you based elsewhere?

Be prepared to sign a confidentiality agreement. Do not act star-struck.

Any tips/advice interviewing for a high profile family? Any one experienced with this type of interview?
