honestly it wouldn't bother me if I found my boss looking through my purse or car as there isn't anything in there I worry about her finding.

I can understand you being annoyed but I would sit down with her and talk to her. Maybe she is just paranoid sometimes people do stupid stuff.

Am I the only one who wouldn't care? I would believe my mb if she said she heard my phone ringing. But I guess that's just how I am... What do you all keep in your bags?

NP here but I have never, ever snooped through my employer's home. EVER. I don't even open the desk drawers. Why would you assume OP had done that?!

Wow. I would have lost my shit if she was my employer. What an invasion of your privacy. Definitely start looking ASAP. What could she possibly have been looking for?

OP here, I'm out of here as soon as I find another position. I really need the money. Grad school isn't cheap, you know? I'm just going to be on top of my belongings until that happens.

How odd. Almost unbelievable. Actually, very unbelievable.

You should quit. Today. No notice.

I wonder why now? Of you have been with them over a year why suddenly start searching your bags now? Wouldn't you do that when u first hire someone? It's completely unacceptable but I'm just curious as to why

OP here, she told me that she heard my cell phone start ringing and that she wanted to bring it out to me. I keep my phone in the car and check it when I head home for the day. That's how I knew she was lying.

I caught my MB going through my personal bags (my purse and backpack). I'm floored to say the least. I would never have expected her to do this to me, as she says I am one of the best nannies she's ever had.

I asked her what she was doing and couldn't come up with anything. She was very surprised that I walked in on her (I was outside with her kids playing in the pool and had to come in to get them drinks). It's a complete breach of trust (and I've been with this family for over a year). I definitely need to find another position, but can't go without pay. I really don't want to stay in this house another minute. I'm just going to keep everything in the car (and locked) until I find something new, but this just got very awkward.
