Really?? That's bizarre. It's all I can do to keep from smothering my kids in kisses, especially when they're little!!!

Why is that bizarre??? Trust me when I say it's more uncommon to kiss kids on the lips than not here in the U.S. atleast.

I am not comfortable with kissing on the lips in anyway other than romantically, so no. I share food I bring with kids, but always are sure it's okay with the parents first.

I share my food with my charges, but I don't kiss on the lips. I kiss them on top of their head or something like that. I don't even kiss my own children on the mouth.

I share my food with my charges. It seems like they are more willing to try something if I'm eating it. The other day I had lentil soup and the youngest kept opening his mouth so I figured he wanted some. He LOVED it. When he eats something of mine that he loves I make sure to tell MB so she can go out and buy and/or make whatever he likes. I see nothing wrong with sharing a utensil with charges- we're around eachother enough that germs will spread with or without sharing a spoon.

I share my food/water with the kids all the time, even my mb will hand my cup to the baby when she asks for it. My mb also tells the kids to give me hugs and kisses goodbye and the kisses usually are on the lips.

Unless you are paid extra to provide food, no. Your charge should not be costing you money.

I share food all the time, but not usuallyforks or spoons or anything that's been bitten. I try to keep germs as separate as possible. I don't generally kiss my charges at all, an dnever on the lips! Kids are germ factories and I don't want to get sick. Also I ride mass transit so who knows what germs I am carrying. I could pass on something nasty that I didn't even know I had.

I share my food even my fork and drinks. I also peak on the lips but mostly all over their faces. It depends on the culture and family for either of those things. I tend to work for laid back extra loving families who were raised similar to me. Im spanish and we kiss everyone on the lips when greeting. its one on each cheek then a peak of the lips, so its not weird too me but for conservative families its a big no-no

Sharing food is fine with the parents consent. Kissing on the lips, NO!

What's your take on sharing food w the kids. The older child is so picky that we all decided to let the baby try everything so he eats wht I eat when I'm here. The parents love that I bring food for him that I cooked. Do any of you share your own personal food w the children.

The other issue is kissing on the lips? Where do you guys kiss your charges on? My charges love to kiss open mouthed to people and the parents encourage it. I turn my head and have them kiss my cheek.
