Subject: MB's what would be the best gift to receive from your nanny?
As an MB, a free weekend would be amazing, but it is probably the most valuable gift I could think of my nanny giving us because we realize that is her time, and ot would not ever be something we expected her to give us. A less intense gift, but one I'd really appreciate just as much in that situation would be a scrapbook/photo album that captures all of your time with your MB's children. If she feels about you like we feel about our nanny, she will want some way to remind the kids of you and their time with you long after you have moved on, and something cute and tangible that does that would be a great last year birthday gift.

Wow, every time I think it can't get any pettier...
OP-a free weekend would be super generous of you, and probably immensely appreciated by the family. I do overnights for free for close friends and relatives and at this point, it seems like this family could fall into that category for you.
To all the snarky PP's, sometimes people go above and beyond to do something truly nice for another human being, not everything is about money.

How about an overnight of babysitting some weekend? For many families, it is cost prohibitive to use a nanny for weekend getaways because of the number of hours and OT rules. But any MB who does not have family nearby to stay with the kids on a Saturday night would probably be ecstatic about the chance to get away with her husband for a night while leaving the kids with someone she knows and trusts.

I'm in the same situation. I'm leaving my job of 4 years in a few weeks. My boss works from home and we're very close. I'll be watching this thread for ideas. I don't have a lot of money to spend so I may just frame one of the family pics from vacation and write a nice letter.

I have been working for my family for 4, almost 5 years, and this will sadly be the last year 
MB works from home so we've spent the last 5 years seeing each other everyday, so it really is a unique relationship.
Does anyone have any nice ideas for birthdays for MB? Her b-day is next week and I have almost always done the gift card to eat/free babysitting every year, but I want something new! These people are not materialistic, so the more simplistic the better, but MB's if you knew you were going to get something, what would you want?
