When I go back to school full time, a one day a week deal would be perfect. So yes, OP, it is possible to find someone for one day a week.

Since it's only one day, you might also look into paying a SAHM to watch them at her house for the day. That might be cheaper.

+1. MB here. I was looking for a one day a week nanny when I was on an extended maternity leave but trying to work from home a bit. I found several candidates like the one above, who worked four days a week for another family and wanted to add a fifth. Good luck!

It's harder to find some one but not impossible. When I was in school I worked 2-3 part time jobs just because my school hours were all over the place. There are people out there that are interested in this! Good luck!

The fact that you are flexible on the day is great. There are lots of jobs that are only 4 days a week, and when I had this schedule I was always on the lookout for hours to fill the fifth day. Your schedule would also be good for a college student with no class on a particular day looking for some spending money. It might take a little longer to find a fit, but I have no doubt that you could find someone.

I would like to work one day a week. The one day could be flexible. But what I would need would be child care for two children for that one day. Probably 10 hours. Is it even possible to find someone good to do this? I know some people are willing to take part-time but since this is such part time, I am worried I won't have any takers. Maybe a retiree looking for a small gig?
