MB here. Our nanny takes photos of herself and my DD all the time. She sends them to us. She also posts them to FB, knowing very well that we see them. She refers to DD by her nickname and doesn't post any other identifying information.

Her time with us is, apparently, important to her, and she likes to post photos of her and DD doing fun things. I think it's adorable and love that she wants to share her time with DD as a good thing.

I'm grateful that our nanny values our DD and loves her so much.

I take lots of pictures of me with my charges and keep them for my personal use only. Meaning they stay in my picture section on my phone. I do not post them online, but I do show my friends how cute my charges are and I also forward the pics to their parents as well.

I take pictures and videos of my charges often. It's never been an issue.

I take pictures of the kids all the time, with and without me. I don't send them to anyone but my MB/DB (and once in a while grandma) so I don't really see the problem either? Why would this be a grey area?

I am a nanny who takes pictures if my charges ALL THE TIME. Mb knows I take pictures and encourages me to take them when we're out and about (museums, zoo, etc). She probably doesn't know I've taken so many (my phone photos are mostly comprised if my charges) but I'm sure she wouldn't care.

I've never posted any online, but I know she does.

Is this yay or nay? I don't send email or post them to DB/MB unless they ask for the photos. Sometimes the kids do an adorable photo or we're doing something fun and I want to capture the moment. It's kind of a gray area with my bosses, what about yours? Thoughts?
