When the kids start getting crazy, I let them play "nanny."
They become the nanny. I am the kid.
They absolutely love it and it takes the focus off of their tantrum.

I read this somewhere years ago and it's the single most valuable piece of advice I've ever received. When the kids are grumpy or things are getting too hard, I stick them in a play bath or fill up the kiddie pool and it ALWAYS brings things down to a manageable level.

I read this somewhere years ago and it's the single most valuable piece of advice I've ever received. When the kids are grumpy or things are getting too hard, I stick them in a play bath or fill up the kiddie pool and it ALWAYS brings things down to a manageable level.
