I have been with this family nearly 3 years and so far they seem reasonable so I'm hoping they stay that way. I am also hoping it's feeling better tomorrow and I won't need to get it checked out. For the poster who asked where I live I am in NC. I think worker's comp will cover this but I guess I will be finding that out soon enough.

Legally, this is 100% wrong.

They are not a corporation and are probably trying to get by themselves and don’t have extra money to cover your medical bills. If you were my nanny, I would probably let you go if you put me in that possition.
Don't you know, you have to cover injuries on your property, if the person doesn't have their own coverage. If you tried to fire an employee for this, you'd be getting hit with a nice little law suit. Or is your nanny to dumb to know such things?
