What the hell does someone else's credit problems have to do w/hiring someone? I guess I NEVER understood this logic.

I would assume that if someone was behind in their bills, they would be more inclined to work hard in order to pay them off. If everyone w/bad credit got turned down for a job, then how do people expect them to get caught up on bills??!!

Just because someone has hit some hard times and are behind on bills does not equate that they will be an irresponsible employee.

Anyway, I have been arrested....once ten yrs ago, but I passed the sittercity background check in like 2 seconds. I don't see how a thorough background check can be achieved in like 2 seconds...but ask anyone...that is how long their checks take.

I wouldn't trust a sittercity background check.
They were supposed to mail me via snail mail a copy and they never did.

I just had a background check and MVR check run (I should have passed both with flying colors), but failed somehow. It showed the results thats all said, "Passed," but the message at the top said it was in "failed status." They said they're deleting my account, so I called the company that does their checks for them, and even they confirmed that I had passed and Sittercity made the error. They also said this happens with SC all the time.

You are better off just getting your clearances and advertising that you have them on your profile.

I had my account terminated because the address I gave (college address) didn't match my official postal address. Sittercity refused to fix it. I had to create a new profile and use my home address which makes it look like I'm out of state.

My understanding of sittercity background checks, is that they so full of errors, why would anyone use them?

Ok so I've been thinking about running the SC background check to improve my profile. The problem is that I recently moved to a new city, but my address here isn't on anything official. I'm subletting from a friend, and I actually changed my bank account's address to that of my parents, because there are no branches in my new state (and my mom is still on my account for convenience/laziness of just never having taken her off). So will it terminate my account since my address might look "fake"? I actually called to ask if my address had to be the same, but the woman said they don't ask for the address-- but then it does ask! I guess I should just call again tomorrow and hope for someone who knows more about it, but I wondered if anyone here would have had a similar experience?
