american born? college (partial or completed)? multilingual? teaching experience (for your preschooler)? how much PTO are you offering?

As you can see, there are a lot of factors and nanny salaries tend to be package offers. If you offer less than 40 hours a week, the rate will be slightly higher. If you offer over 40 hours, it might be a little lower to account for the OT. If you take lots of extra vacation during the year (you are expected to pay your nanny when you cancel her work days) the nanny might be willing to take a lower rate. Likewise if you offer health insurance.

I would think as a rough estimate, $18-20/hr for two children and child-related housekeeping & cooking.

how many hours would you like her to work? Are you offering any other benefits such as contribution to health care plan, transportation, etc?
Are you interested in child care only or also light cleaning, etc.?

What kind of nanny are you hoping to find? Beginner? Average? Top-notch?

What is the market rate (on a gross basis) for a nanny in North Bethesda/Rockville? I have a 3.5 year old and an infant. Thank you for any advice!
