I don't think your critique makes any sense at all. We all have to make choices we're sorry we had to sometimes, and in this case she needed to leave a job where she really loved the kids. That is perfectly reasonable.

Same here. It sucks, it gets better with time.

It's so sad, for the children and for the nannies. No one likes to talk about it, but there's a ton of damage going on here.

It's been almost a year since I left my last position and I still miss the kids. I had to move away because my husband got a new job so I can't see them on a regular basis. I do see pictures on facebook, but it only makes it worse. The only thing that I guess somewhat helps me is that the kids have moved on. When I went back to visit them a couple months after I left the 15 month old didn't remember me and the 4 year old was shy towards me. Just have to move on....

I ended my position with my family a few months ago due to personal reasons. I loved the family I was with and really enjoyed the kids. Today I saw the kids with their new nanny. I didn't think it would be such a huge thing, but man I'm flat out jealous. I truly miss the fun times with the kids. Does anyone have advice on how to overcome these feelings? I'm happy knowing the kids are happy with her, but I can't help but still wish I was there instead.
