Can you get an au pair? I think there are some who can do infants, and you would be able to set her schedule, which would be especially nice if your jobs aren't super flexible.

Care.com, Sittercity.com or in the Jobs section on here.

Good Luck.

Same here! I loved the hours as well when I was a student.

The hours might be attractive to a student, because he or she could easily arrange a class schedule if they are free until 2 pm. I would write up what I needed in as much detail as possible and post to care.com, Craigslist, etc.

Try an agency or a sitting/nanny site. Your hours are not unreasonable. However they are for certain people. If you offer a competitive wage you will find the right person. Make sure you check references if going on your own.

OP, considering the difficulty here, it might be most sensible to consider a relative, friend, or neighbor, and offer a very attractive arrangement for them (whatever they need/want).

You might need to offer a pretty high rate since those hours are next to impossible. Is it a longterm situation?

My husband and I both work late and into the evenings and therefore cannot rely on traditional daycare services that end ~ 6pm; we are looking for childcare and/or nanny from ~3pm- 8pm. Any suggestions on options or where to look?
