Our package is not generous with respect to vacation and sick days - we give 10 personal days which can be used as sick leave, vacation, etc. But the flip side is that the nanny gets paid days off here and there when we go out of town, and we do contribute $400 to her health care. Offer what you are comfortable with, and then when you negotiate the final package with your nanny, you can make adjustments according to what she prioritizes (i.e. in our case, a higher health insurance contribution was more important than vacation/sick time).
