MB and DB had company from out of town visit them. I was scheduled to work, even though the guest was over since MB and DB would be at work. The guest was a friend from grad school and he is around their age. He was really nice but almost obnoxious. When I thought the little one and I were alone..we weren't..for long! He would follow us and ask too many questions. At one point I had to go to the restroom and when I came out, he was right outside the door, like he had been standing there for a while. I just smiled and walked away. I'm glad he's gone but it's just annoying that I couldn't relax and enjoy my work day because he had to be my shadow so to speak. I am allowed to go out of the house, but this day the little one was not feeling well. I did take a quick stroll, enough to let me get out when I was there. He isn't staying long, and I won't see him again, as I'm on vacation right now, thank goodness!

Some parents do not allow it. My old MB and DB didn't even want me to go outside with the little car much less go in the car. I finally got her to let up in the end by letting us walk to the end of the street but we were not allowed to cross the road.

If it's someone I don't like, I make awkward conversation and then take the kids out for the day.

There was one guy who rented a room from my previous employers. He creeped me the hell out! I locked the doors between his space and my working space and tried my best to distract myself.

I had one cool MB who gave me a heads up that her dad was an asshole and how to handle his offensive comments.

I hate it.

I get kind of upset, because it ends up with me watching the children and entertaining perfect strangers.

Db's friend is coming to town this weekend, and I said I would babysit all day Saturday. Its going to be pretty awkward with the friend there.

I think OP is not just ranting but also seeing if others have had similar situations and possibly how they handled it.

I have dealt with a creepy grandfather visiting. He was harmless but always commenting on how skinny I am. I thought it was weird but both parents were home most of the time so I wasn't too uncomfortable. However it was annoying that I still had to work while there were THREE other adults in the house, obviously not easy since it's so distracting to the kids!

Not sure. But he was creepy. He is not unattractive at all, just made me feel uncomfortable. He might have a pee fetish but gross.
