Subject: IF you are a MB, who is your nanny?

Given the number of times my nanny has told me how much she loves my children and the way she shows it every time she sees them, I'm not concerned. And I enjoying knowing whatever she tells me about herself.

MB here. Of course I care about my nanny. I know as much about her as she wishes to share. Like a PP noted above, she says she likes her job, but I'm sure she doesn't like it 100% of the time. No one does. But she comes to me when something is bothering her and I think that's a good sign of a healthy relationship.

I'm a nanny... my employers are wonderful, close to me in age (we may even be the same age, but within a year or two), attended my college's rival school, share my taste in movies/music/books, and attend the same theater performances as I do. They also don't know very much about me because I don't talk about myself at work. They know I have two cats. They know I have a younger brother. They know I do monthly trivia with a group of friends. They ask me about my weekend every Monday and I tell them a few details ("It was nice, I had some friends over on Sunday" or "It was all right, I worked most of it"), but they couldn't answer most of your questions and it's not because they wouldn't want to be able to. I'm just a private person.

OP here. Thank you, 13:07, for your thoughtful response. You are spot on as to my thinking.
No one is interested in a FBI type of profile that would invade anyone's privacy, as some posters have alluded. If they had any one little thing to share about their nanny, they would be showing some degree of interest in their nanny.

I like to think I know a lot about my nanny. I've met her family, chat with her often, and could answer the questions above (though I agree with the PP who declined to give details online about her nanny). And she's told me she likes her job, and I believe her, though I am sure she doesn't like it all the time, just as I don't like my job or employer 100% of the time. I suspect the point here is a deeper commentary on the nanny/MB relationship (which I don't think is represented by most postings on this forum). The answer to "what do you know of your nanny?" Generally is "whatever I make an effort to know".

Do you think she likes her job?

Why would anyone waste time writing out a profile on their nanny's personal life for your curiosity? My nanny would probably recognize her/me and be offended that I did this and posted personal details as I would if the question was reversed.

Where does she come from?
Does she love her job?
Does she love your children?

Not her name, of course, but who is she?
Describe her.....
