Sometimes we need to remind ourselves that what's easy and simple for one person, isn't necessarily so, for another person.

Chinquapin rec center has a soft play room (may be closing for renovation). Probably she will need to figure out when it is crowded with toddlers and so hard to keep both safe. Our nanny just took the two "twins" in our share out for long walks at that age since there were not many things that they could do. Assuming they both sit well independently, classes would be good as someone else suggested.

OP, do you know if the nanny has had 'twins' of that age before? You may want to take the two out, alone, just to see what she's up against. It could very well be that she'd prefer not to risk their safety. I have had twins of that age, and although I had that job for three years, it was my most demanding job, both physically and intellectually. You must stay one step (at least), of the children, every single second. No mess-ups, not even for a half a second.
I hope she's very well compensated.

My son is in a nanny share with another 8 month old in Fairlington, right off Quaker Lane, and I'm trying to help our nanny with some activities so she can get out of the house more with them as the weather starts getting nicer. I know of story time at the local libraries, but would love to hear any other suggestions that would work for two babies I could give her as well. We are comfortable with her driving if that helps.

Thanks!
